As I look back on the things that have gotten me to this point in my life, I realize that it has been quite the adventure. My life has been very non-traditional in so many aspects. It seems that everytime I work to accomplish something, I take the hardest road to get there. Becoming a teacher is no exception to this. As a begin this journey, I have so many things that I want to say, but I am not even sure where to begin. I will work to formulate complete thoughts and write them here for all to see. By blogging the things I am thinking, I will have the opportunity to analyze each thing individually, and I might even be able to stop the non-traditional cycle before this year is over. I have to admit I like the non-traditional road sometimes. I think that is why I am so drawn to it. It is like completing something that everyone thought you couldn't, for what ever reason. It is the thrill of victory when you show them that you knew you could all along.
I look forward to the challenges this year will bring, and I am filled with much anticipation as I wait on the day that I can step into a classroom of my own.
Shelia, I loved this post on your blog and laughed out loud because I agree with you! I thought about it and my life has been so "non-traditional" as well! Sometimes I think I go the long way around, but feel I learn so much more and have so many more experiences doing it like that! I wouldn't trade it for anything!
